The Nature of Life (or) The Manner of Living (or) How to Live
page 187, verse 459
A human who secures knowledge, truth, love, joy and harmony within himself lives everything also externally, and, in this way, shapes his environment.
However that does not thus please some enemies, for which reason they engender grief and falsehood as well as calumny and deceit, in order to damage the righteous and to thus please themselves or to feel great and powerful; and, in their grief and unrighteousness, they misconstrue schadenfreude [joy of damage] as happiness, and calumny, falsehood and deceit as correctness; being without virtue as decency; infamy as honesty and intrigue as righteousness.
