The Human Being and Destiny, Yesterday and Today Der Mensch und das Schicksal gestern und heute
1. The human being of yesterday went through life with clear senses, intellect and rationality as well as by his or her own initiative and clear consciousness. 1.
2. He or she also knew that they had to find their way around in each life-circumstance by themselves and that specifically they must also lay claim to their own lives. 2.
3. Antithetically to this, today’s human being stands at a lost post, because not only does the clear mind and the life-essential intellect suffer from an immense deficit but so do the favourable prospects of finding his or her own way, as well as standing one’s ground, in all life circumstances. 3.
4. The majority of the younger generations are no longer capable to allow intellect and rationality to function self-sufficiently, to use each situation in order to make the best out of them, or to master life in a more purposeful manner. 4.
5. With the present-day human being it is namely indeed the case, that they can barely, or not at all, manage their life situations and especially their lives themselves, therefore, in regards to life-conduct, they can barely exist or are even completely life-incapable without outside help. 5.
6. With regards to real life-conduct, innumerable ones need help, regardless of whether this comes from intellect and reason possessing psychologists or from halfway intellect and reason-possessing human beings. 6.
7. But already there begins another calamity, namely, that many times this help is not found, because life-experienced advisers are not to be found. 7.
8. Psychologists and psychiatrists are visited for guidance many thousands of times to grant advice concerning life and life-development as well as regarding life-conduct etc., or, as to how psychic problems should be solved. 8.
9. However, the whole thing is very questionable, because many psychologists and psychiatrists themselves are in need of help with their lives, as they themselves are also not clear with their life development and life-conduct, etc.; this is not ever taken into consideration or is simply consistently disputed and denied. 9.
10. Many help-seekers, in regards to life-conduct and life development, as well as to how to truly live life, also search in dubious books in order to find their way out of their lousy lifestyle and life-development in order to really be able to live a true life. 10.
11. With all sorts of dubious and trashy periodical-based, pseudo-psychological, how-to-booklets in hand, they stand in the street, bury themselves in their room, crouch on a bank or sit in the public transport and read themselves stupid and stupidly into unworthy writings and books, in which the halo of technical jargon is given, that is truthfully worth nothing and consequently, no real benefit can be gained from them. 11.
12. These writings and books and the claims of the incapable psychologists are believed, as a result, they cultivate and direct their existence in all areas of life in order to be able to steer their lives onto the right track, however, this is really something which is no more than a childlike fuss, because the whole thing doesn't lead to adulthood rather, more and more off the life-track. 12.
13. This, because everything is only based on a belief that is built on false psychological advice in the form of writings and books or incapable psychologists. 13.
14. The upshot of this is that the human being continually drifts further away from real life as well as from a healthy life-formation and life-conduct and but only believes, instead of working out truthful knowledge for his or herself. 14.
15. However, when real knowledge escapes the human being then he or she still believes every imbecilic utterance after all. 15.
16. If the human being is not connected to knowledge but to a belief, in regards therein, that an absolute predictability of one’s own life is possible, then this corresponds to an insane belief-scenario, like believing in a God, which conforms no more and no less, to a human fantasy. 16.
17. The confused belief in an absolute ability to plan one’s own life and that each step of one’s own existence itself could be predetermined, corresponds to an abysmal illusion. 17.
18. In each case, the human being can determine by his or herself, what he or she can do out of their own power as well as through their own intellect and their own reason and action potentials; if something comes along towards him or her, then they must cope with it from out of their own power. 18.
19. The fact is, that each step in life itself cannot be predetermined, consequently, it must be accepted that here and there something will not work out according to one’s wishes and capabilities and that so-called destiny will strike. 19.
20. Yesterday, i.e., in the past, the more mature human-beings, subsumed, i.e., subordinated themselves to their destiny and to their lives, consequently, they then simply did the right thing and regarding their destiny and lives, managed to correctly arrange and to correctly lead them. 20.
21. However, the bulk of today’s human beings are no longer capable because if he or she runs across something falling under the category of destiny then he or she breaks down fully and falls into shock, out of this rigidity they are barely able to free themselves any longer. 21.
22. What the human being of yesterday mastered by themselves, when they were met unexpectedly by a blow of fate, the human being of today is no longer able to do so. 22.
23. If he or she must give serious thought to death, for example, then he or she cowardly shrinks away and locks up all his or her senses against it, consequently, they also cannot cope if a near or dear person suddenly, or long expectedly, departs from life. 23.
24. And should today’s human being be struck with unfortunate circumstances, be it his or her own or concerning someone close, then he or she falls into a rigid shock and boundless self-pity. 24.
25. Therefore, the fact immediately becomes apparent, that external help is sought, instead of letting intellect and rationality prevail and doing everything necessary in order to manage the resulting sorrow and pain from one’s own strength, just like the human beings of yesterday did. 25.
26. However today’s human being has become so mollycoddled and incapable of life that he or she is no longer able to bring his or her thoughts and feelings consciously under control through intellect and rationality, consequently he or she, when in hardship and sorrow or in misfortune and in the case of other hard fates, can no longer help themselves through their own initiative. 26.
27. With each small hardship, with each small misery and with each small sorrow, and so with each small and big stroke of fate the human being of today must call for help, where the human being of yesterday had helped themselves and had been ashamed to look for help elsewhere. 27.
28. But the human being from today is not ashamed, with each small misfortune or by a truly hard blow of fate, to look for and accept external help because he or she has become incapable of life and is not able to manage his or her own destiny since he or she is mollycoddled through and through. 28.
29. The fact is that the immense weakening of today’s human beings has befallen the bulk of society; following countless blows of fate they can only survive because they are propped up through the help of their fellow humans. 29.
30. So it has come about that psychological advice booms on a large scale whereas, very often, no true skills regarding psychology are present in the consultations with the advisors. 30.
31. Often it is only inadequate psychological school knowledge, or absolutely amateur drivel, whereby the help-seekers become fleeced because naturally, they cannot be helped, as true help can only exist when the fate-affected ones are led to help themselves. 31.
32. But today exactly the opposite happens because the fate-affected ones are, on the whole, made dependent on those “helpers”, therefore the sufferers require help, often for a very long time or for the whole duration of their existence. 32.
33. And the fact is, that the human being of today becomes increasingly more life-incapable concerning his or her lifestyle, life-formation and his or her own life-coping abilities in regards to problems and blows of fate, sorrow and pain as well as hardship and misery. 33.
34. Instead of finding their way back to the form and modes of the human beings of yesterday, i.e., from earlier, who were still dignified and powerful enough to manage every type of blow of fate, hardship or misery on their own and to solve all types of problems themselves, the human being of today has grown weak and life-incapable to such an extent that he or she, with each smallest inconvenience, with each misfortune and with any slightest worry, needs help from other people. 34.
35. If somebody dies with whom any relationship existed, be it in the family, in the relationship or in the circle of friends, this unchangeable fact is not rationally handled; rather, a thinking-feeling-psyche based breakdown ensues. 35.
36. Therefore, the associated helplessness with regard to the unchangeablity of the event usually has nothing directly to do with the loss of the deceased person because truthfully, the ensuing thinking-feeling-based-psychic breakdown by dint of the tragic fate, affects the survivors themselves. 36.
37. And this is the form that the self-pitying survivor fosters in his or herself as henceforth, he or she must take care of everything themselves, they can no longer fight with nor cherish the other. 38. So very often it is not a true mourning but a fundamental self-pity that often leads to psychic damages, to life-sorrow and to breakdown as well as to life-failure. 37.
39. But the death of a loved one need not be a blow of fate as it is for today’s human being, who can no longer help nor bring themselves under control, like yesterday’s human being had done, usually, as a rule, out of pure rationality, in the knowledge that he or she must be able to help themselves and manage life. 39.
40. Already, this knowledge alone and the will to help themselves, gave them energy and strength, consequently they themselves, through their own power, from all possible unpleasant circumstances and situations, had worked out and mastered all trenchant strokes of fate with dignity. 40.
41. Yesterday’s human being was still his or her own boss and hence, also their own helper in hardship and pain and thereby, also in all life circumstances, no matter how hard fate had struck them since they were still tough and in charge and master of their senses as well as of their intellect and their rationality which they knew how to maintain and use. 41.
42. Since the days of human beings of yesterday very much has unfortunately changed, to the disadvantage of the new generations. 42.
43. So it stands for today’s human that with the slightest reason or fateful event a care-specialist team, a priest or a certified psychologist or psychotherapist is at the ready and talks with the sorrow and fate concerned one, however, in a form and process, that doesn't lead to the sufferers taking the trouble to manage their fate from their own power. 43.
44. Generally, what occurs is counter productive, which leads to the fact that the sorrow and pain, as well as the problems, are even more encouraged and no iota of an improvement results in the case at hand in order that the affected one comes to a change in thinking and change in actions, through which they are able to help themselves in the present, as well as in the future, if and when they become struck by new blows of fate. 44.
45. And that today’s human being, in their thought and feeling-world, as well as in their intellect and their rationality, as well as their actions, is no longer equal to those of yesterday’s humans and so he or she is weakened and becomes ever more soft. 45.
46. So, his or her life-capability and autonomy dwindles away more and more. 46.
47. And this has unfolded particularly during the time of the economic boom, through an arising global pop-capitalism, that human beings have helplessly fallen for and through which, they have lost the ability to self-sufficiently manage their destiny, regardless of what may be perceived. 47.
48. This also means however, that today’s human is no longer growing-up to function correctly and level-headedly because he or she has lost the naturally given capability and has replaced it through remaining like a child, following all aspects of life exhibiting a precarious childlike gusto. 48.
49. And the origin for it lies therein that he or she, the human being, no longer has real knowledge but clings to a childlike streak and a confused belief, from which they erroneously believe that everything in their lives must run along a predetermined path whereby they are able to avoid all blows of fate. 49.
50. So, today, he or she can no longer grow old with dignity but he or she must model themselves through plastic surgery and beauty procedures of all type or deck themselves out as a youth, like children who play at being grown-up women through padding their clothing and using make-up. 50.
51. And a tremendous amount of today’s grown up human beings are no different than such children and are, in general, even as helpless as they are. 51.
52. Therefore, today’s grown-up human beings also die like children because their adulthood corresponds to only an illusion. 52.
53. And really, very many of today’s humans have not grown-up, even if they do good and evil things that only grown-ups can do. 53.
54. And there are also those who believe, their whole life long, that if they pre-plan their entire life and need only be flexible enough, that they will then always be propitiously lucky. 54.
55. And actually it is also the majority of humankind that spurns each distant blow of fate and lives with the insane belief that they could never be impacted by one. 55.
56. However, if the circumstance nevertheless then arrives and they do become impacted, then their whole world and their whole life collapses together and he or she insanely asks why it has happened especially to them - namely, had it happened to others, then it would not matter. 56.
57. Actually, many even believe that they would never be impacted by a heavy destiny since that can only happen to others because if they had everything in hand themselves, then it must be clear that nothing disastrous can occur. 57.
58. Were it so, e.g., that sufficient love be given, as well as good and solid work, no illness and good children, then nothing could happen to them - so they erroneously believe. 58.
59. But if things come about differently and destiny turns against them, then the whole belief-world collapses. 59.
60. Therefore, the facts are, that it is fundamentaly wrong that oneself has an imaginary omnipotence, i.e., an absolute might, to indulge in that regard, whereby all types of matters can be self-handled so that nothing bad can happen and no blow of fate can ever become reality. 60.
61. That is simply an impossibility because there is absolutely no ability to plan one’s own life and that of one’s own family. 61.
62. It is also not possible when living during prosperous times and destiny is not put to the test. 62.
63. Destiny fulfills itself, often without the individual human being having to do anything special because already there are enough outside influences of all sorts, through which a blow of fate can appear as if out of nowhere, whereby all procured plans can be destroyed or completely shattered. 63.
64. Now, what was said does not mean to claim that, by and large, in the times of the past the human beings from yesterday were immune to all blows of fate, rather it was that they would have been able to manage everything from their own strengths, from their own mind and from their own reason and their own actions. 64.
65. Also yesterday, i.e., earlier, there were human beings that had learned no strength and failed in life, these were only isolated however, not en-masse, as is the case with the human beings of today. 65.
66. Of the human beings of yesterday, i.e., from earlier, not many more are living today in the year 2011, accordingly it can be said that today, a great many grown-ups and teens, i.e., the majority of humans, are lacking in the necessities regarding self-help, self-motivation and in self-will towards healthy conduct regarding one’s own thought, feeling and psyche-world and self-assessment, as well as to the life-capabilities connected with them, like the majority of yesterday’s humans were, however. 66.
67. Destiny does not play a part in in the sense of coincidence. 67.
68. Coincidence does not play a part, therefore, in logic either. 68.
69. Everything is classified according to the laws of causality, therefore each conceivable destiny results from one or several foreordinations. 69.
70. Therefore, when the human being simply lives, then resulting out of his or her thoughts, feelings, actions and deeds, particular values from causes are consistently joined to, i.e., joined together with, effects. 70.
71. Thereby, due to foreordination through the causality i.e., through the cause and effect, it is an unavoidable fact that all kinds of favourableness, just as unfavourableness, can occur. 71.
72. This equates to a destiny, that originates from out of the human being’s own might, yet they still must refer to it as a destiny, from outside themselves, that sweeps them along and that they cannot steer. 72.
73. This, because outer forces are at work and all determining, e.g., good and evil machinations, deeds and actions, that are executed and committed by fellow men, as also all sorts of events and situations evoked and caused by other human beings, by animals or by nature whereupon the human being who is met by such a fate, naturally, has only little or no influence. 73.
74. The life-principle of the human being from the past was simple; then, he or she lived with the good thought and feeling that everything of his or her existence lay before them and they continued to live their life as always, according to how it came upon them. 74.
75. He or she was, as a rule, unburdened, without fear, and therefore very free and absolutely open for all which came to him or her. 75.
76. Exactly this life-principle is lost to the human being of today however, because he or she no longer allows life to come along, since he or she lives in the delusion that simply each and every thing, event and each situation etc., must be firmly and smartly planned in advance. 76.
77. This however, corresponds to a pathological illusion because certain cause and effect determined foreordinations that come along cannot be controlled by the human being, consequently, when he or she is struck by a blow of fate that they cannot predict they then must, despite everything, cope with them themselves, through their own corrective efforts, not through teams of care-specialists etc. 77.
78. But as already mentioned, the human being of today is no longer do things for themselves, consequently, the things, events, situations and striking blows of fate are no longer processed or managed by themselves, but rather, as a rule, through a dubious giving over to ‘rescuers’ who, with comprehensive measures, should solve and end all the worries, the mourning, the pain, the affliction and the misery. 78.
79. The human being from today is also, in many cases, unable to simply decide anything spontaneously, consequently, he or she often needs hours, days, weeks or even months, in order to come to a decision and likewise then to it’s actual functioning implementation. 79.
80. Many have become simply unable to undertake anything without a plan being manufactured for it in advance, be it for a small or big matter, for a meeting with other people or for a vacation, etc. 80.
81. Truly, human beings of today often no longer think anymore about the long-standing things that, for the people of the past, were self-evident and of importance, be it now about death, about education, about the meaning of life or about intuition, from out of which much can be addressed and made right. 81.
82. Each event, each situation and each blow of fate that appears doesn't need to be questioned with "why did this happen to me especially", because that is a completely pointless action, it also actually makes no sense, as all foreordinations arise from causes and effects and as a rule, cannot be understood. 82.
83. It is important, however, to scrutinize all those things that serve the development of the consciousness, the knowledge, the love, the reality and their truth as well as the wisdom, the peace, the freedom, the harmony, the life-conduct and the applied manners and behaviour. 83.
84. It is not a paucity of imagination to not make any life-plans, because for one thing anything can come along and, for another, what comes is other than what was thought. 84.
85. Of course, the human being sometimes feels at the end of their tether. 85.
86. That, for him or her however, must be no reason, whereby they accept that another human manages what they themselves must manage. 86.
87. By the same token, this is small-scale thinking, as is also setting goals that are beyond the feasible. 87.
88. And one must not fall into the delusion that someone else is, or could be, responsible for the layout of one’s own life. 88.
89. One must also not strive to put into practice the type of measure that lies outside realistic given eventualities, that also applies to happiness. 89.
90. One thing or another, brought to fruition in a good and happy manner, then is equivalent to the corresponding causes and effects, that emerge through foreordinations, or what is simply then called destiny. 90.
91. And this destiny is fulfilled by each human being without a God that would stand over his or her individual life and steer everything. 91.
92. Naturally, there is the creation that stands above all, but does not direct the human being, because they do that themselves. 92.
93. Creation is also not the all-great-one that takes care of the human being because he or she must do that themselves and only if they do this will they rise to the good in life and cannot fall outside of their limitations. 93.
94. In order to carry that out, however, the human being must allow their life to occur and move forward, but where it is necessary and feasible, it must be guided. 94.
95. The human being from the past stood in life and was connected therein and he or she looked not to be an expert at it but they simply managed to the best of their ability and conscience, and through it had a full and fulfilled life and knew to help themselves in every condition of life and with every event, in every situation and with every blow of fate, which to the human being from today is foreign. 95.
96. Accordingly, today, he or she needs a care-specialist team, a psychiatrist or priest at each possible and impossible occasion etc., so that those who cannot manage in life are still able to more or less exist. 96.
97. If the human being from today constantly considers only his or her life and is self-pitying, then they cannot lead their life. 97.
98. So that he or she can be joyful and happy, they must be able to help themselves, which they can only do however, if they know what does them good. 98.
99. That means, that he or she doesn't constantly contemplate only their life but that they look after themselves and shape their thoughts and feelings, as well as their actions, in such a manner that it complies with him or herself. 99.
100. The human being from today no longer understands that he or she must steer their lives themselves because they erroneously believe that destiny has their lives in its hands. 100.
101. This, whereas the human being of yesterday actually took their life into their own hands and simply accepted that destiny had to be therefore managed with their own power, that it was something that could not be escaped. 101.
102. Today the human being believes that he or she could plan everything in their lives, but what a delusion he or she succumbs to, since destiny cannot be planned, as it is tied to foreordination through cause and effect. 102.
103. Whoever questions destiny doesn't understand life, hence however, also not the sense of life and not the fact that luck and happiness are only a small thought-leap towards understanding and rationality. 103.
104. The human being from today regrettably understands luck as standing for something tangible, i.e., a materialistic luck, as his or her life has become engineered from capitalisim, as also from the steady striving after accrual of riches. 104.
105. From this also results that life is only good, meaningful and successful when much wealth and properity can be exhibited, while what becomes totally forgotten is that life can only be happy and worthwhile if the human being is able to submit to his or her destiny and, out of his own power, be able to manage it. 105.
